Mass Effect: Andromeda’s Story DLC Cancellation Has Been Denied by BioWare

Recently, rumors began to fly that the story DLC planned for BioWare’s Mass Effect: Andromeda had been cancelled. A Facebook message left by an apparent Austrian company by the name of Sinclair Networks claimed that it had been hired by BioWare to develop three pieces of DLC for Mass Effect: Andromeda, but that the projects had been cancelled. This message was deleted, but not before Critical Hit was able to capture them. BioWare has since responded.

Today on Twitter, Mass Effect: Andromeda Producer Fernando Melo asserted that BioWare crafts its own DLC, and he suggested that Sinclair Networks is not a real company.

When it was mentioned that BioWare’s silence on the subject was somewhat suspect, Melo responded by writing, “The internet is what it is. Doesn’t change the fact that there are things we can & cannot talk about at times, as part of a public company.”

Further backing up Melo’s statement, Mass Effect Producer Michael Gamble stated, “Never heard of Sinclair Networks. Ever.”

Earlier this month, Mass Effect: Andromeda received a patch that improved the character creator and added a romance option for Jaal.
