Atooi’s Jools Watsham has finally completed the development of Hatch Tales, as announced in the latest Kickstarter update. However, before the game could be submitted to Nintendo for final approval, there was yet another “last minute delay” due to a whirlwind of activities this month. Watsham mentioned that they are now “on the cusp” of submitting the game to Nintendo, so fans can expect another update soon.
Originally slated for release on 23rd August 2024, Hatch Tales faced another delay. Watsham apologized for this delay, acknowledging how frustrating it might be for fans who have been eagerly waiting. The team is grateful for everyone’s patience during this time and promised to keep fans updated as soon as Nintendo gives the green light.
For fans curious about the game’s progress, a “developer deep dive” was shared in June, showcasing the first six levels of Hatch Tales. Additionally, a “sneak peek” of one of the bonus “Chibi-Mudds” levels inspired by Mutant Mudds was shared in the latest update to backers. With over six years in the making, Hatch Tales has generated excitement and anticipation within the gaming community.
Originally known as ‘Chicken Wiggle Workshop,’ Hatch Tales was crowdfunded in early 2018 with an initial estimated delivery of December 2018. However, multiple delays have pushed back the release date, testing the patience of eager fans.
