The world of Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is filled with wonder, mystery, and a bunch of puzzles, too. One, in particular, requires you to use cloned versions of your character, Sargon, just to clear a path. In this guide, we will discuss how you can solve the tricky brain teaser presented by the Sacred Archives time puzzles in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown.

The Sacred Archives time puzzle is part of a main quest called the Path to the Sands Prison. To progress in the campaign, you need a couple of new abilities. The Dimensional Claw, obtained from a boss fight, and the Clairvoyance skill, which is unlocked by solving the Sacred Archives puzzle. The puzzle chamber is located in the western portion of the Sacred Archives zone. As you make your way through the corridors, you will eventually encounter walls blocking your path. To reach the puzzle chamber, you will need to take the long way around. Follow the corridors heading west, then south and east, until you arrive at the bottom section of the chamber.

To solve the Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown Sacred Archives puzzle, you have to make use of Sargon’s clones. The puzzle is divided into three rounds, each requiring specific actions to progress. Here’s a breakdown of the steps:

First round

– Jump and pull either the left or right lever on the wall and stay in that position.

Second round

– Jump and pull the remaining lever and stay in that position.

Third round

– The way should now be clear for you to collect the tablet in the unlocked cell.

The Sacred Archives puzzle is not the only challenge you will face. There are other puzzles throughout the game that will test your skills and make you think strategically. One such puzzle involves using the Shadow of the Simurgh power to create copies of Sargon and teleportation to navigate the room. This puzzle serves as an introduction to a new mechanic in the game.

First round

– Traverse the room and make it all the way to the top-left corner. Use your Shadow of the Simurgh power to create a copy of Sargon.

Second round

– Activate Shadow of the Simurgh so Sargon gets teleported to the previous spot. Continue making your way to the top of the room and step on the plate.

Third round

– Wait until the cell door is opened.

The last Sacred Archives puzzle in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown can be somewhat tricky. It requires precise timing and the effective use of abilities.

First round

– Quickly run down below, then do an air dash to the right of the platform that emerges. Activate your Shadow of the Simurgh power here to create a copy. Then, step on the floor plate and stay there.

Second round

– Move down to the lower chamber and wait for the platform to emerge. Go up to the top of this section and pull the lever to make another wall appear.

Third round

– Time it right so that you reactivate Shadow of the Simurgh once the platform has appeared. You should be able to teleport onto the ledge and then wall-jump to the top.

Completing all the Sacred Archives time puzzles in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown rewards you with the Clairvoyance time power. This ability allows you to turn transparent objects into solid ones, and vice versa. It will prove useful in creating platforms, crossing chasms, climbing ledges, and passing through gaps.
