Final Fantasy 14 players have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of the crossover event with Final Fantasy 16, and the time is finally here. This collaboration between the popular MMORPG and the latest single-player entry in the RPG series offers players a range of exciting in-game rewards to enjoy.
Players participating in this crossover event can look forward to obtaining a variety of items, including a cute minion, a unique mount, Clive-inspired armor, and more. The level 50 quest will feature gear inspired by FF16 hero Clive Rosfield, allowing players to obtain armor resembling Clive’s iconic pecs-showcasing attire.
Announced by Naoki ‘Yoshi-P’ Yoshida during last year’s Final Fantasy Fan Fest in London, the crossover event promises a range of exciting content for players to experience. From loyal wolfhound Torgal offered as a rideable mount to adorable minions in pup form, there are plenty of rewards to strive for during the event.
In addition to the headline items, players can also look forward to collecting a Clive Triple Triad card and a selection of orchestration rolls featuring music from Final Fantasy 16’s exceptional soundtrack. The Path Infernal event draws inspiration from Clive’s connection to the fire deity Ifrit, providing players with a unique and engaging gameplay experience.
To take part in the event, players must locate the starting quest, “A Land on Fire,” in Ul’dah’s Steps of Nald. However, participants need to be at least level 50 and have completed the main scenario quest, “The Ultimate Weapon,” from the base game, A Realm Reborn, in order to begin their journey in the crossover event.
For those eager to join in the fun, the event will be available until May 8th, giving players a limited time to complete the quest and secure their rewards. While the event draws inspiration from Final Fantasy 16, players need not worry about spoilers, as Yoshida has assured that the quest won’t reveal significant plot details from the upcoming game.
