Kaizen Game Works, the studio behind the popular detective game Paradise Killer, has recently announced their upcoming project – Promise Mascot Agency. This new game seems to be a unique blend of open-world exploration, mascot management, and crime drama, promising an experience unlike any other in the gaming world.

In Promise Mascot Agency, players will take on the role of an exiled yakuza lieutenant banished to a cursed Japanese town. The main objective is to restore an old, rundown mascot agency that caters to Japanese mascots who are down on their luck. This unconventional premise sets the stage for a truly bizarre and entertaining gameplay experience.

As the sole operator of Promise Mascot Agency, players will have to recruit and manage a variety of “misfit mascots.” These mascots, such as To-Fu, a cube of tofu with a nemesis named “Normal Sized Door,” come with their own set of hopes, dreams, and desires. Players will need to negotiate with these mascots to recruit them, fulfill their wishes, and help them overcome challenges like stress levels and fitting through doors.

Apart from managing mascots, players will also be able to explore the town of Kaso-Machi in a beatdown yet upgradeable flying truck with Pinky, a rotund mascot sidekick, by their side. The town is filled with colorful characters and opportunities to earn new Hero Cards, enhancing the gameplay experience. Additionally, players can take a break from the chaos by indulging in the local onsen to unwind.

Kaizen Game Works has partnered with Ikumi Nakamura, a well-known developer with credits in games like Okami, Bayonetta, and Ghostwire: Tokyo. This collaboration ensures that Promise Mascot Agency will bring a unique and captivating Japanese fever dream to life, appealing to a wide range of players. With Nakamura’s expertise and vision, the game is poised to be a groundbreaking experience in the gaming world.

Promise Mascot Agency is scheduled to launch on multiple platforms including PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC in 2025. With its quirky premise, innovative gameplay mechanics, and collaboration with industry veterans, the game has already piqued the interest of many gamers worldwide. Keep an eye out for Promise Mascot Agency and get ready to embark on a wild and unforgettable adventure in the world of mascot management and crime drama.
