Moon Studios, known for their incredible Metroidvania games Ori and the Blind Forest and Ori and the Will of the Wisps, has unveiled the early access release date for their upcoming game, No Rest For The Wicked. This new game takes a departure from the Ori series, as it is a Diablo-style action roleplaying game. While it retains the stunning art style and fast-paced action from the Ori games, No Rest For The Wicked offers a unique gameplay experience for players.

In No Rest For The Wicked, players take on the role of a magical holy warrior on a quest to defeat plagued creatures in a dark fantasy setting. The combat in the game is described as “brutal” and “precision-based,” focusing on close combat encounters rather than large scale battles typically seen in Diablo-style games. Players can expect to engage in intense fights while exploring the game’s world.

One of the standout features of No Rest For The Wicked is the ability to rebuild the central settlement in the game. Players can upgrade the settlement, meet new characters, and even purchase real estate to decorate and customize their own house. The game offers a mix of combat, exploration, and settlement building, providing a rich and immersive experience for players.

The early access version of No Rest For The Wicked will include the opening chapter of the campaign, various side quests, a wide range of weapons, gear, skills, and crafting options for players to experiment with. Additionally, players can participate in replayable dungeon and daily challenges to test their skills. The game will continue to receive updates and new content before its full release, including four-player co-op, additional regions, a farming mechanic, and more features.

No Rest For The Wicked is set to launch in early access on Steam on April 18, giving players a chance to experience the game before its official release. The game was also announced for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, although console players will have to wait a bit longer to get their hands on the game. The preview of No Rest For The Wicked has been described as “mesmerizing” by Gamesradar, hinting at a promising early access journey for the game.
