Konami has recently addressed their plans for the release of the second volume of the Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection. Acknowledging the issues that plagued the launch of the first collection, the team is determined not to rush development this time around. The production producer Noriaki Okamura emphasized the need for time and careful consideration to avoid repeating past mistakes:”We’re also worried about how Vol. 1 had a pretty rough launch, with all the issues, so we’re going to do everything we can not to repeat that, but we just have to ask for everyone to give us time.”

Despite the confirmation of the second volume, the team remains unsure about which titles will be included in this upcoming collection. While HD ports of Metal Gear Solid 1, 2, and 3 were part of the first volume, the absence of existing HD ports for subsequent titles presents a challenge. The team is evaluating the lineup carefully and considering factors such as the size of the titles and potential issues that may arise:”Looking at the potential titles…Okay, it’s like this. We had HD ports of MGS1, 2, and 3. Or, sorry, not really for 1, but the other two. But most of the titles released after those don’t have a pre-existing HD port we could use.”

While details about the new collection may be scarce at the moment, the team is committed to maintaining communication with fans. Even if they are unable to provide concrete answers or timelines, they want to keep the community informed about the progress:”we’re going to do everything we can not to repeat that, but we just have to ask for everyone to give us time.”

Rumors about the content of Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Volume 2 have been circulating online, with findings on Konami’s official website suggesting the inclusion of titles such as Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots and Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. These revelations have sparked excitement among fans who are eagerly anticipating the release of the second volume.

The future of Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Volume 2 holds promise but also challenges for the development team. By learning from past mistakes, maintaining transparency with fans, and carefully curating the lineup, Konami aims to deliver a collection that meets the expectations of the dedicated fanbase. Keep an eye out for further updates on this highly anticipated release.
