Nintendo has once again expanded its Switch Online retro service by adding three new titles to the Super Nintendo library. Among these new additions are Wrecking Crew ’98, Amazing Hebereke, and Super R-Type. While the lineup for Japan differs slightly, with the inclusion of Battletoads: Battlemaniacs and Marvelous: Mōhitotsu no Takarajima, there is still plenty of excitement surrounding the latest releases.

One of the titles added to the Super Nintendo library is Wrecking Crew ’98, a game that sees Mario wielding his trusty Wrecking Crew hammer in this action puzzler. Previously only available in Japan, players can now experience both the original Wrecking Crew and the updated Wrecking Crew ’98. With each version offering its own set of challenges, players will have to navigate through 100 stages as Mario, dodging enemies while knocking down walls and ladders. In Wrecking Crew ’98, players can out-wreck the competition by destroying and arranging panels to line up matching colors. The more panels cleared, the more powerful the attack launched on the opponent. Do you have what it takes to claim victory in this hammer-wielding adventure?

Developed by Sunsoft and originally released for the Super Famicom system in 1994, Amazing Hebereke is making its U.S. debut in the Super Nintendo library. Players can engage in cute and chaotic battles in single-player mode or with up to four players in VS. mode. Select your character and battle it out on stages filled with items and traps. Unleash your character’s special attack and strive to be the last one standing in this frantic showdown.

Super R-Type: Galactic Battles Await

Super R-Type takes players on a galactic battle against the evil BYDO Empire of mutant extraterrestrials. As the revolutionary R-9, Earth’s most advanced defense, players must fight through seven challenging stages against foes with advanced firepower. By picking up power-up items along the way, players can enhance their abilities to take on powerful level bosses. With various difficulty options available, from NOVICE to PRO mode, players will need lightning reflexes and a bit of cosmic luck to survive the vast frontiers of space.

The latest additions to Nintendo Switch Online’s Super Nintendo library offer a diverse range of gaming experiences for players to enjoy. Whether you’re a fan of classic puzzle games, chaotic battles, or galactic space adventures, there is something for everyone in this latest lineup. So, grab your controllers and get ready to dive into these exciting new titles available now on Switch Online.
